These scrumptious cookie bars are based on the all-time favorite campfire treat and are great for teen parties, potlucks and casual get-togethers.

S'More Cookie Squares

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallow creme
  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mixing well.
  4. Add the flour mixture to butter mixture, stirring just until blended.
  5. Press half of dough into prepared pan.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over dough.
  7. Carefully spread marshmallow creme over chips.
  8. Scatter small amounts of remaining dough over marshmallow layer and carefully spread to cover surface.
  9. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

Makes 16 bars.
