Beef steaks, marinated
overnight in a Caribbean-style marinade of steak sauce, brown
sugar and lime juice, are grilled to perfection.
Caribbean-Style
Steak
- 1/4 cup steak sauce
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 1/4 pounds steaks
1/2 teaspoon salt
- Combine steak sauce, brown
sugar and lime juice in a small bowl; reserve 1 tablespoon for
basting. Place steak in a glass dish and add marinade, turning
to coat. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
- Preheat grill to medium
heat.
- Remove steaks from marinade
and place on grill. Cook for 14 to 20 minutes, or until cooked
to your preference, turning once. Brush with reserved basting
sauce during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Season steak with salt.
Carve into thin slices to serve.
