Savory Cheddar Muffins.

These unique muffins are easy-to-make and are great for breakfast or any time of day.

Savory Cheddar Muffins

2 cups all purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup butter or vegetable shortening
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2/3 cup California Raisins
  1. Sift the flour with the baking powder, salt and paprika. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in remaining ingredients until just moistened.
  2. Spoon into well-greased muffin pans.
  3. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes.

Makes 12 muffins.
