start with a breakfast of these hearty whole wheat waffles.
Whole
Wheat Waffles
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
- In a large mixing bowl,
combine whole wheat flour, flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix together
beaten eggs, milk, and melted butter. Mix well, and add to the
flour mixture, beating until combined.
- Cook in a waffle iron
until golden brown.
Makes 4 servings.
