Flavor this 'cake-mix-easy' cake with your favorite liqueur (such as Amaretto, Grand Marnier or Frangelico) for a delightful dessert.

High-Spirited Party Cake

1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped
1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (3.5-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
1 1/4 cups water
4 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup liqueur, your choice
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch tube pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, water, eggs, vegetable oil and liqueur. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer until just combined. Beat on medium speed for two minutes. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Glaze, if desired.

Makes 16 servings.
