Raisins are the key to the sweetness of this surprisingly tasty treat. They're a breeze to make and almost good for you!

Raisin Fudge

1 cup applesauce
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup raisins, chopped
1/4 cup slivered almonds
  1. In a small saucepan, bring applesauce, chocolate chips and sugar to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, dry milk and raisins in a mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture; mix well.
  3. Pour into wax paper-lined 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Cut into diamond shapes and sprinkle with slivered almonds. Refrigerate to set.

Makes about 16 pieces.
