Photo of Hope Pryor 2011Hi, I'm Hope Pryor and I am the owner, publisher and webmaster of CooksRecipes.com. Since its online debut in mid 1999, the website has become one of the more popular, "mega-sized" recipe sites on the Internet. The site actually started out as a hobby stemming from my life-long love for cooking and a keen interest in trying my hand at building my own "web page"...and eventually developed into a successful home-based business. I work alone, managing all aspects of the site from my home office. My three top priorities for the website are: 1. To provide quality, trustworthy recipes in a "user-friendly" format. 2. Its continual growth with the addition of new recipes, and 3. Keeping a fresh, updated homepage featuring a sampling of the site's wide variety of terrific recipes.

I designed the website with a simple, straightforward navigational format that would be quick and easy use. The recipes are conveniently organized under popular recipe collections, listed in alphabetical order and easily accessible throughout the entire site by just a click or two, making CooksRecipes.com one of the easiest to use recipe resources on the Internet. I am also very pleased to say that no membership sign-up or fees have ever been asked or are required of visitors to the site...and as long as I am the owner, it will remain so.

One more tidbit of information about the features, or rather the lack of certain features at CooksRecipes.com. Every now and then I will get an email from a visitor asking, "do you have a recipe box?" or "where are the comments and reviews on the recipes?" The reason they are not available is because the pages of the entire website are posted online in "static HTML" and not in a database, making such interactive features impossible. However, there is a positive side for this inability to provide such useful services, and that is hackers need a "database" to hack into...which gives this particular website a definite "safe-to-surf" advantage. (Not to mention that I am always happy to "hand-post" visitor comments, sent via the site's form mail, on the recipes.)

Many thanks for visiting CooksRecipes.com and for taking the time to read a bit of trivia about the site. May you enjoy a successful "recipe treasure hunt" while browsing through this "online cookbook" that currently offers over 20,000 free recipes.

Warmly,
Hope Pryor
