Lemon-scented cut-out cookies.

Cut-Out Cookies
- 1 cup butter or margarine,
softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 large egg
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cream butter and sugar
until light and fluffy. Add corn syrup, egg and lemon juice and
beat until thoroughly combined. Stir in flour and salt. Divide
dough in half and shape into flat disks. Cover with plastic wrap
and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F
(175°C).
- Roll out one disk at a
time into 1/8-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut into
desired shapes.
- Place 2-inches apart onto
baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly
golden. Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 12 cookies.
