No, you didn't read the directions wrong...this is a grilled meatloaf! If you have any leftovers, sandwiches will be a must.

Cheesy Meatloaf

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large egg
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

  1. Preheat barbecue grill.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, egg, cheddar cheese, onion, soft bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Mold into a loaf shape in a lightly oiled bowl.
  3. Invert onto a cooking pan and lift off the bowl. Grill for 55 minutes; drain the cooking pan.
  4. Return to cooking pan; spread tomato sauce on top and grill for an additional 25 minutes. Remove from grill and serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
