Cottage cheese and cream cheese double up in this tasty ground beef and noodle casserole.

Double Cheese Hamburger Casserole

4 ounces noodles
1 pound lean ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 tomato, sliced
  1. Prepare noodles according to package directions.
  2. Cook ground beef, onion and celery in a large skillet until the meat is browned and crumbly; drain.
  3. Stir in the noodles, tomato sauce, cottage cheese, sourcream, cream cheese and salt. Heat the mixture to boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat.
  4. Arrange tomatoes on the meat mixture. Cover and let sit for about 5 minutes or until the tomato slices are warmed.

Makes 5 servings.
