Reminiscent of the Mexican
beverage, champurrado, a warm, thick and sweet chocolate drink,
except that the 'thickener' in this minty hot cocoa is chocolate
cream-filled sandwich cookies.
Cookies
'N Cream Mint Cocoa
- 12 chocolate cream-filled
sandwich cookies, coarsely chopped
3 cups milk
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Place all ingredients
in blender container; cover. Blend on high speed until smooth.
- Pour into 2-quart saucepan.
Cook on medium-high heat until heated through, stirring frequently.
- Serve hot.
Makes 4 servings.
