Frozen escalloped apples makes this apple cream pie a cinch to prepare. Mixing marshmallow creme with cream cheese is the secret for its great creamy taste.

Apple-Cream Pie

2 (12-ounce) package frozen escalloped apples
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup marshmallow creme
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Thaw escalloped apples in microwave at MEDIUM(50% power) 5 to 6 minutes; set aside.
  2. Combine apples, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a medium bowl; stir well, and set aside.
  3. Combine marshmallow creme and cream cheese in a small bowl beating at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Fold into apple mixture. Spoon into pastry shell.
  4. Combine brown sugar and flour in a small bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 to 40 minutes.
  5. Combine confectioner's sugar, water, and vanilla in a small bowl; stir well. Drizzle over warm pie. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
