The crust is fried. An easy alternative
to use with no-bake cream fillings.
Fried Pie Crust
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup flaked coconut
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Combine butter, coconut, flour and brown
sugar in a sauce pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until a
rich brown color.
- Press mixture into an
8 or 9 inch pie plate. Cool before
filling.
Makes one 9-inch crust.
