This recipe for Pear Pie was submitted by D.W.
Pear Pie
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 1 (29-ounce) can pears, drained
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ground nutmeg for sprinkling
- Place drained pears in unbaked pie shell;
set aside.
- Combine sugar, flour and ginger and spread
over pears. Drizzle the cream and vanilla over all and sprinkle
with nutmeg.
- Bake in 350°F (175°C) oven
for 1 hour.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
