Turn slices of deli ham into a deliciously easy meal.

Ham Rolls with Spinach

1/2 pound spinach
1/2 cup water
3 slices of white bread, crumbled
1 large egg
2 teaspoons onions, grated
12 ounces deli sliced ham
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  1. Cook spinach in water until tender; drain and squeeze dry.
  2. Combine the spinach, crumbled slices of white bread, egg, and minced onion in a bowl; mix well. Spoon on thinly sliced ham, then roll the ham slices from the narrow end jelly-roll fashion. Place seam side down in a baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, blend butter and flour; cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add shredded Cheddar cheese and cook until the cheese melts.
  4. Pour sauce over the ham rolls, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until heated through.

Makes 6 servings.
