This breaded pork chop dish is a good one
to give to junior cooks to try. Serve roasted potato wedges,
buttered Brussels sprouts and a sliced orange salad.

Roasted Pork Chops
- 4 boneless pork chops,
1/2-inch thick
1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1 large egg, slightly beaten
- Heat oven to 425°F
(220°C).
- Line a 15x10x1-inch baking
pan with foil; spray with vegetable cooking spray.
- In a shallow dish combine
breadcrumbs, butter, lemon peel and basil. Brush chops with egg,
then dip in crumb mixture to coat top and sides.
- Roast for 15 to 20 minutes
or until nicely golden brown.
Serves 4.
Wine suggestion: Serve
with a soft Merlot.
