A fast and tasty microwave recipe for sweet and sour pork.

Microwave Sweet 'N Sour Pork

1 1/2 pounds pork steaks, cubed
1 onion, sliced
1 (8-ounce) can pineapple chunks, crushed
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 (6-ounce) package sugar peas

  1. In a baking dish mix cubed pork steak, onion, pineapple (undrained), brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, soy sauce, salt, pepper and ginger. Cover and microwave on MEDIUM until the pork is no longer pink, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.
  2. Stir in green bell pepper and sugar peas. Cover, and microwave on HIGH until the green bell pepper and sugar peas are tender, about 3 to 4 minutes. Serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
