
Salad greens topped with
chopped apple, toasted walnuts and crumbled blue cheese (or feta),
drizzled with a honey-Dijon dressing.

Walnut Salad with Blue Cheese
- 1/2 cup walnut pieces
1 package salad greens
2 large red apples, such as Braeburn, Gala, Fiji or Delicious
2/3 cup (4 ounces) crumbled Wisconsin Blue or Feta Cheese
1 cup honey-Dijon dressing
- Preheat oven to 350°F
(175°C).
- Spread walnut pieces in
single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until
fragrant. Remove to paper towel to cool.
- Meanwhile, core and chop
apples into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Divide salad greens evenly
on 4 chilled plates topped with chopped apples, divided evenly.
Sprinkle crumbled Wisconsin Cheese and cooled walnuts evenly
over apples. Drizzle each salad with dressing.
