Three types of sliced cheese layered on crusty bread with thin slices of tomato, Bermuda onion and lettuce, and drizzled with an Italian salad dressing.

Cheese Hero

1 loaf (14 inches) crusty French or Italian bread
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
8 slices (1 ounce each) Wisconsin Swiss cheese
8 slices (1 ounce each) Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar cheese
8 slices (1 ounce each) Wisconsin Brick cheese
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
1 large Bermuda onion, thinly sliced
Lettuce leaves
Cherry tomatoes and green olives for garnish (optional)
  1. Cut bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Brush dressing on bread.
  3. Arrange slices of cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce on bottom half of loaf.
  4. Replace top half and garnish with cherry tomato halves and green olives, if desired.
  5. Slice to serve.
