With its "angry" spice and robust garlic flavor, this classic Italian spread offers one delicious bite after another. Created by Chef Michael Chiarello.

"Angry" Italian Bean Spread

1/4 cup packed Italian parsley leaves
2 cloves garlic, peeled
2 (15-ounce) cans red beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3/4 cup BUITONI Refrigerated Arrabbiata Sauce
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Crackers or grilled bread
  1. Combine parsley and garlic in food processor; process for 30 seconds. Add beans, salt and pepper; process for 1 minute. Scrape down sides of bowl; process for 30 seconds. With processor running, add sauce and oil. Process for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  2. Serve with crackers or grilled bread.

Makes 2 2/3 cups (8 servings).

Tip: Serve the remaining Arrabbiata sauce as a spicy dip for breadsticks.
