An easy oat granola-like
bar sweetened with brown sugar and honey laced with coconut,
raisins and white chocolate chips.
Coconut-Oat
Honey Bars
- 1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 1/3 cups sweetened flaked coconut
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup white chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 400°F
(205°C). Grease 8-inch square baking pan.
- In large saucepan, melt
butter; remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar, honey and vanilla.
- Add remaining ingredients;
stir until blended. Press mixture into prepared pan.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes
or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut
into bars.
Makes about 24 bars.
