Quick "Candy"
Bars
- 1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup applesauce
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
3 1/4 cups oats
9 regular size Hershey candy bars
- In large saucepan, melt butter; add applesauce
and sugar. Stir in oats.
- Pour in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and
bake at 375°F (190°C) for 13 minutes.
- Remove from oven and while hot, cover
with chocolate bars. Smooth chocolate once it has melted. Cool
and cut into bars.
Makes 24 bars.
