Chewy, chocolatey and fudgey, these superior brownies are quickly and easily stirred up in a saucepan, spread into a baking pan and baked.

Superior Saucepan Brownies

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
4 large eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
  2. In small bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Add sugar and cocoa; stir to blend. Remove from heat and quickly stir in eggs.
  4. Stir flour mixture into chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Spread into prepared pan.
