A steak dish so good your taste buds will dance the fandango!

Fandango Sirloin Steak

1 1/2 cups chopped onions
1 cup diced jicama
1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 tablespoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak
1 teaspoon olive oil
  1. In a large salsa dish combine chopped onion, diced jicama, chopped tomatoes, chopped cilantro, chopped jalapeno, crushed garlic clove, lime juice, lemon juice, liquid hot pepper sauce, and salt. Mix well, and refrigerate.
  2. Brush both sides of sirloin steak with olive oil, then dredge in mixture of garlic powder, sugar, white pepper, chili powder, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Grill over high heat for 7 to 10 minutes, turning once. Serve with the jicama salsa.

Makes 4 servings.
