Microwave recipe.
Liver and Onions
- 1/2 pound beef liver
2 onions, sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground sage
2 teaspoons soy sauce
- Cut beef liver into serving pieces. Mix liver together in a microwave-safe baking dish with sliced onions, oil, pepper, and sage. Cover and microwave on HIGH until the onions are crisp-tender, about 4 to 6 minutes.
- Brush the liver with soy sauce. Arrange with thickest pieces to the outside in the baking dish. Spoon the onions evenly over the liver.
- Cover tightly and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes; turn one-half turn, and microwave until the liver is no longer pink,about 1 to 3 minutes. Let stand for 3 minutes before serving.
Makes 3 servings.
