The Public Health Smoothie was created by Paul Erwin of Townsend, Tenn. Paul was a runner up in the milk mustache campaign's "Blend-Off/Send-Off" Contest, which was part of the Rodale "Fitness Goes Better With Milk" promotion that ran in Prevention, Runner's World, Men's Health, Bicycling and Heart & Soul magazines.
The Public Health Smoothie
- 1/2 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup orange juice
1 banana without the peel
1 Golden Delicious apple with the peel, but without the seeds- Walnuts or pecans, for garnish
- Blend thoroughly and enjoy.
Makes 1 serving.
