A rich, milk chocolate-infused
cocoa Bundt cake drizzled with a creamy vanilla glaze.

Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Glaze
- Cake:
- 1 cup (6-ounces) milk
chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup boiling water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Vanilla Glaze:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoons hot
water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
extract
- Heat oven to 350°F
(175°C). Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan.
- For Cake: Place chocolate
chips and butter in a medium bowl, add boiling water and stir
until chocolate is melted.
- In a large bowl, combine
flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add chocolate
mixture, beating until thoroughly blended. Add eggs, sour cream
and vanilla and blend well. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes
or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool
10 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.
- For Vanilla Glaze: Place
butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH (100%)
30 seconds or until melted. Stir in powdered sugar, hot
water and vanilla, beating until smooth and slightly thickened.
Drizzle over cooled cake.
Makes 12 servings.
