Swirled Black Forest Cake.

Looking for an easy recipe, but looks like you spent hours making? Try this delicious SWIRLED™ Black Forest Cake.

Swirled™ Black Forest Cake

1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cake mix (such as German chocolate, devil’s food or chocolate fudge)
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 2/3 cups (10 ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® SWIRLED™ Semi-Sweet & Premier White Morsels - divided use
1 container (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed - divided use
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling - divided use
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two 9-inch-round cake pans with foil extending over sides. Grease and flour foil.
  2. Prepare cake mix with water, oil and eggs according to package directions. Stir in 2/3 cup morsels. Pour evenly into prepared cake pans.
  3. Bake cakes for 24 to 28 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Carefully sprinkle remaining morsels over tops of cakes while still hot out of the oven. Cool cakes completely in pans on wire racks.
  4. To Assemble: Remove cakes carefully from pans by lifting foil. Peel off foil and place one layer morsels-side-up on cake platter. Top with 1 cup whipped topping and 1 cup cherry pie filling. Top with second layer. Serve each slice topped with remaining whipped topping and pie filling. Refrigerate leftover cake.
