Rich & Easy Dark Chocolate Truffles
- Truffles:
- 1 (12-ounce package) dark chocolate chips
3/4 cup heavy or whipping cream
Suggested Coatings:- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Powdered sugar
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Colored Sprinkles
- Toasted finely chopped or ground pecans
- Sweetened flaked coconut
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream and microwave at HIGH (100%) for 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring each time, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
- Refrigerate until mixture is firm.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in desired coating. Store, covered, in refrigerator. Serve cold.
Makes about 3 dozen truffles.
