Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375*F (190*C).
- In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- With electric mixer, cream butter, cream cheese and sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add chocolate chips and stir to just combine.
- Drop by spoonfuls on to non-stick baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.
Makes 2 dozen.
