Chocolate Fondue

No recipe image available.Diabetic-friendly, low-fat and sugar-free chocolate fondue is a can-do chocolate treat without the guilt.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (8-ounce) package unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup skim milk
14 1/2 teaspoons Equal® for Recipes or 48 packets Equal® sweetener or 2 cups Equal® Spoonful™
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon rum extract

Suggested Dippers: apple and pear wedges, banana pieces, orange segments, strawberries, and pretzels

Cooking Directions:

  1. Cut squares of chocolate into pieces; heat chocolate and milk in medium saucepan over medium-low to low heat, whisking constantly, until chocolate is almost melted.
  2. Remove from heat; continue whisking until chocolate is melted and mixture is shiny. Add Equal® and vanilla or rum extract, whisking until mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour chocolate mixture into fondue pot or serving bowl; serve with fruit and pretzels for dipping.

Makes 12 servings.
