Hamburgers

1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted split-side down on grill
1 tomato, sliced for accompaniment
Iceberg lettuce leaves for accompaniment
Dill pickle slices for accompaniment
Tomato ketchup for accompaniment
Prepared mustard for accompaniment
  1. Preheat barbecue grill.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, pepper, salt, dried onion flakes and garlic powder. Lightly shape into 4 patties.
  3. Grill for 5 minutes per side for well done burgers.
  4. Serve over hamburger buns with sliced tomato, lettuce, dill pickle slices, ketchup, mustard, or other condiments of your choice.

Makes 4 servings.
