Creepy Crawly Spiders

2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (8-ounce) package semisweet baking chocolate, melted
24 (12-inch) pieces black shoestring licorice, each cut into 8 pieces
48 red hot candies
  1. Mix marshmallows and melted chocolate until marshmallows are completely coated. Drop by spoonfuls onto sheets of wax paper to make 24 " spider bodies".
  2. Decorate each spider with 8 pieces of licorice for the "legs" and 2 candies for the "eyes."
  3. Let stand at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
  4. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Makes 12 servings.
