Spidery-looking clusters of chocolate-covered
crispy chow mein noodles with miniature candy-coated chocolates
for 'eyes'.
Spooky Spiders
- 1 cup (6-ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
or butterscotch chips
2 cups chow mein noodles
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Miniature candy-coated chocolates for
the 'eyes'
- Cover a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- In a small saucepan over very low heat,
melt chips. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in noodles
and nuts until coated.
- Working quickly, drop by spoonfuls onto
waxed paper and place two miniature candy-coated chocolates for
the 'eyes'. Chill for 15 minutes or until firm. Remove from refrigerator.
Store loosely covered in a cool place.
Makes 2 dozen.
