The flavor of this festive
citrus punch is reminiscent of pumpkin pie. A friend shared this
recipe with me several years ago.
Thanksgiving
Spiced Punch
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 5 (3 to 4-inch) cinnamon
sticks
- 30 whole cloves
- 4 (12-ounce) cans frozen
orange juice concentrate, plus 4 cans cold water
- 2 (32-ounce) bottles apple
cider, chilled
- Combine sugar, water,
cinnamon sticks and cloves in a small saucepan. Bring to boil
over medium heat and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and
cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until chilled.
- Pour the spiced syrup
through a strainer into large punch bowl.
- Add the orange juice concentrate,
water and apple cider. Stir to blend well and serve.
Makes about 28 (4-ounce)
servings.
