Pork spareribs with a zesty orange barbecue sauce.

Spareribs with Orange Barbecue Sauce

4 pounds spareribs
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon pepper
1 (6-ounce) can frozen concentrated orange juice
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
4 green onions, chopped
  1. Sprinkle both sides of spareribs with lemon pepper; cut into small pieces. Arrange in a single layer in a large shallow baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine frozen concentrated orange juice (undiluted), ketchup, prepared barbecue sauce, butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, prepared mustard, and green onions. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Brush the sauce over the ribs, cover, and continue baking an additional 45 minutes or until done; basting and turning occasionally.
