
The fantastic flavors in
the sofrito marinade (garlic, onion and aromatic herbs) make
these chicken kabobs a crowd-pleasing and easy-to-make entrée.
Chicken
Brochettes
- 1 (2.82-ounce) packet
MAGGI Sofrito Seasoning Paste
1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 pound assorted fresh vegetables (red bell pepper, green bell
pepper and/or onions), cut in cubes
10 (6-inch) skewers
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Hot cooked rice
- Combine sofrito, chicken
and vegetables in medium bowl; cover. Marinate in refrigerator
for 1 hour.
- Thread chicken and vegetables
alternately onto skewers.
- Heat oil in large skillet
over medium-high heat. Cook brochettes for 5 minutes; turn over.
Cook for an additional 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender
and chicken is cooked through. Serve with rice.
Makes 3 servings.
Note: If using wooden skewers,
soak in water for 30 minutes before threading.
