This easy and tasty recipe for Cream Cheese and
Chives Chicken was submitted by B. Abbott of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania
USA.
Cream Cheese and
Chives Chicken
- 4 whole boneless chicken breasts
- 16 strips of uncooked bacon
- 2 (8-ounce) packages of Philadelphia brand
cream cheese with chives
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Divide each whole chicken breast into
two separate breasts. Flatten each breast to about a 1/4 of an
inch thick. Salt, pepper and garlic powder each breast to taste.
- Divide each package of cream cheese into
quarters. Put one quarter of cream cheese in center of chicken
breast and roll breast around cream cheese. Then wrap 2 strips
of bacon around each breast.
- Place prepared breasts in 9 x 11-inch
baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you prefer the
bacon crispy on top, turn on broiler and watch closely until
desired doneness is attained.
Serves 8.
