Georgia-peach-style sweet
and sour crock-pot chicken.
Crock-Pot
Sweet'N Sour Chicken
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled
and thinly sliced.
- 4 whole chicken breasts
(or use thighs and legs)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar,
packed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 (17 ounce) can water-packed
peach slices, drained
- Place potatoes in crock-pot.
Arrange chicken on top.
- Mix orange juice, brown
sugar, bay leaf, nutmeg, and vinegar together and pour over chicken. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove chicken and potatoes
from sauce; arrange on a warm platter.
- Turn pot to high, add
peach slices to sauce. Heat. Pour sauce over chicken and potatoes.
Makes 8 servings.
