You can't beat coming home to the simmering
aromas of a slow-cooking chicken with vegetables
Crockpot
Chicken
- 3 pounds fresh whole chicken,
cut up
4 carrots, peeled and sliced
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 celery ribs, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 cup bottled Italian dressing
1/2 cup chicken broth
- Rinse and place chicken
in slow cooker or crockpot with carrots, potatoes, celery and
onion.
- Pour Italian salad dressing
over chicken. Add chicken broth and cook on low 6 to 8 hours
or until tender (see note).
Makes 6 servings.
