A simple recipe for honey
baked chicken that results in a greating tasting main dish.
Honey-Baked
Chicken
- 1 whole fryer chicken,
cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
to taste
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- Preheat oven to 350°F
(175°C).
- Place chicken pieces in
a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan, skin side up.
- Combine the melted butter,
honey, mustard, salt, pepper and curry powder. Pour mixture over the chicken.
- Bake for 70 minutes, basting
every 15 minutes with pan drippings,
or until the chicken is nicely browned and the juices run clear.
Makes 4 servings.
