Green chiles separate this turkey recipe from the rest.

Turkey with Green Chiles

1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 pounds turkey breast meat (uncooked), sliced
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 (4-ounce) can ORTEGA® Whole Green Chiles, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup sour cream
  1. In a large saucepan heat oil. Add chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt; mix and add sliced turkey. Brown each slice on both sides.
  2. Add crushed onion, broth, green chiles and garlic. Cover and simmer 35 to 45 minutes.
  3. Remove the turkey to a platter,cover to keep warm. Drain juices back into the pan; skim the surface.
  4. In a bowl blend together flour and water; stir into the sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in sour cream. Serve sauce over the turkey.
