A great gift idea! Fill a crock with this
creamy, herbed cheese spread and package it in a basket with
fruit, a fresh loaf of crusty French bread or a box of select
gourmet crackers and a bottle of wine*.
Boursin Cheese Spread
- 1 (16-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8-ounce) carton whipped butter
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Beat Cream cheese at medium speed with
an electric mixer until smooth; add butter and remaining ingredients,
mixing until well blended.
- Spoon into airtight containers or gift
crocks.
- Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
Makes 3 1/2 cups.
DIRECTIONS FOR GIFT CARD: Store Boursin
Cheese Spread in refrigerator up to 1 week. Let stand at room
temperature 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or
French bread.
*Substitute with a non-alcoholic wine for
those who prefer not to imbibe in alcoholic beverages.
