
Serve with roasted pork and fresh green
beans. These are also great for breakfast paired with hot mugs
of coffee.
Apple
Fritters
- 1 (12-ounce) package frozen
escalloped apples, defrosted according to package directions
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
2 cups vegetable oil
Cinnamon sugar
Powdered sugar
- Maple syrup
- Sift together flour, baking
powder and salt; stir in milk. Add escalloped apples and egg;
stir.
- Heat oil in large skillet
to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop mixture by tablespoons
into hot oil. Brown on all sides; drain. Serve warm with cinnamon
sugar, powdered sugar and/or syrup.
