An exceptional clam dip made with minced clams, cream cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, onion and a dash of Tabasco.
1 cup minced clams
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/4 cup clam liquid
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons chopped onion
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Few drops Tabasco pepper sauce
1 loaf round bread
- Soften cream cheese with clam juice, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Cut out center of round bread and form chunks from inside of loaf. When ready to serve, pour clam dip into hollowed out bread. Serve with bread chunks.
Makes about 2 cups.
