Beefy Salsa Mac
Fast and tasty! A package of creamy macaroni and cheese teams up with ground beef and salsa to make a quick skillet casserole. Mayonnaise is the 'secret ingredient' that binds and gives the dish extra creaminess; great for quick suppers.
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (16-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle
1 1/2 cups water
1 (14.5-ounce) package macaroni and cheese dinner
1/2 cup mayonnaise
- Cook beef over medium-high heat in a large, deep skillet until no longer pink; drain. Stir in salsa, water, macaroni noodles, dry cheese sauce mix and mayonnaise; stir to mix well.
- Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
- Remove from heat; keep covered. Allow to stand for 5 minutes and serve.
