Fried Chicken Salad
No time to cook? Ready-made fried chicken from the local deli makes this entrée salad a breeze to make.
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill*
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 crisply fried deli chicken breasts
1 (12-ounce) bag mixed salad greens
- For Dressing: Combine all dressing ingredients in small bowl with wire whisk. Cover; refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.
- For Salad: Remove chicken breast meat from bone; cut into slices. Combine chilled dressing and salad greens; toss lightly.
- To Serve: Place mixed greens on platter; arrange chicken slices on top.
Makes 4 servings.
*Substitute 2 teaspoons dried dill weed.
