This recipe for the classic Waldorf salad is given a boost of flavor as well as a reduction in fat with the use of apple-flavored yogurt as as part of the binder.
1/2 cup apple yogurt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup diced apples
1 cup diced celery
1 cup grapes, halved and seeded
1/2 cup broken walnuts
- Blend together yogurt and mayonnaise. Toss yogurt mixture with remaining ingredients. If desired, mound salad in lettuce cups.
Makes 4 servings.
