Alaska Surimi Seafood with Dipping Sauce

Alaska Surimi Seafood with Dipping SauceRecipe courtesy of Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute. Includes four deliciously easy dipping sauces to choose from.

Recipe Ingredients:

12 to 16 ounces Alaska Surimi Seafood (Imitation Crab)

Americana Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon creamy horseradish
1 teaspoon each packed brown sugar and minced onion
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Southwest Sauce:
1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise
1/3 cup low-fat sour cream or plain yogurt
1 tablespoon capers
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
1/2 teaspoon each cayenne pepper, cumin, dried dill weed, and oregano

Spicy Avocado Sauce:
1 avocado, seeded and mashed
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon minced chives
1 teaspoon lime juice
1/4 teaspoon wasabi paste, or to taste
Salt, to taste

Asian Sauce:
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon each sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 green onions, sliced

Cooking Directions:

  1. For Sauces: Blend all ingredients for desired sauce(s). Use immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. To Serve: Arrange Alaska Surimi Seafood on serving platter; serve with sauce choice(s).
