Favorite Sourdough Pancakes
No overnight preparation is needed to make these excellent, light and tender sourdough pancakes. These sourdough pancakes are simply the easiest AND best!
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup Sourdough Starter
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Add the buttermilk, sourdough starter, eggs and vegetable oil and stir just until batter is well mixed and smooth.
- Meanwhile, lightly grease a griddle or large skillet and bring to medium-high heat.
- When hot, pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto griddle, or skillet, and cook pancakes until golden brown, turning once.
Makes approximately 12 (4-inch) pancakes.
